We were very fortunate to have a glorious day of weather and the eighteen ladies playing thoroughly enjoyed Deeside which was in magnificent condition. Please pass on our thanks to the greenkeeping staff.
As ever it was a very close match coming down to the last game, with Highland pipping Northern by 5 games to 4. Well done to Highland retaining the trophy.
We would like to thank Deeside Golf Club for the courtesy of the course and also many thanks to the bar and catering staff for all their help and friendly efficiency, which we all really appreciated.

It is with great sadness that we share the news of the death of Mary Burgess (Aboyne) on June 12th 2025.
Mary had been Captain of the Scottish Senior Women’s Golf Association Northern Division (Vets) and she was a great county stalwart and past County Selector, always took a keen interest in everyone’s golf.
Mary was a most gracious lady, modest, had a great sense of humour and was popular with everyone. She will be greatly missed by us all and remembered with great affection.
Our sincere sympathy goes out to all her family.
Congratulations to all the finalists taking part in the championships at Downfield GC.
We had a great couple of days of golf and the weather was kind to us. Thanks again to Downfield for being excellent hosts.

An enjoyable few days was enjoyed by all who were fortunate to be able to play at Blairgowrie this week. The weather was reasonable for this time of year and the courses were in excellent condition.
Sheena our Vice Captain and Champion for the Northern division teed off on Sunday afternoon in the Quarter Finals against Emma Stevenson (Highlands) and had a great win beating Emma 6&4. Sheena played par Golf which was great to see.
Unfortunately Sheena lost in the Semi-Finals against another experienced player Gillian Kyle (west) by 5&4. Sheena played well but couldn’t match the Birdies that Gillian kept throwing at her……..next time Sheena!
